Maddie absolutely loves Soft & Chewy Buddy Biscuits that Cloud Star makes! They’re free of grains, preservatives, artificial colors, and artificial flavors, so that makes me love them too.
Since they’re so soft, it’s easy for her to eat them, and easy for me to break them up into smaller pieces to make them last longer for training practice. The re-sealable bag they come in helps them stay fresh, and helps seal in the smell (which is absolutely a bonus since whenever Maddie smells them she goes crazy!) I think the rotisserie chicken flavor is her favorite.
If you have a dog you should absolutely get these treats for them!
Pure Wraps are a great alternative for those, like me (Samantha), who are following a Paleo or low carb diet. They’re made entirely from chemical/pesticide-free coconut, and are an alkaline and raw food.
I love using them with dinner leftovers like stir fry (any meat/veggie combo). It’s like a new meal with leftovers! They do have a little bit of a sweet taste and do better with less moisture in them, so not too drippy and messy to eat. I haven’t seen them in stores, but ordered mine here.
I received a package of sauces from Passage Foods to taste and review. They manufacturer international cooking sauces and aim to let people indulge in exotic flavors and aromas at home. All their products are gluten free, and provide a healthy solution for people with busy schedules. Each package contains the premixed sauce and instructions (type of meat/veggies) to make a recipe.
My absolute favorite has to be the Thai Basil and Sweet Chili sauce! I was definitely surprised at how fresh the basil tasted, and loved the slight kick of the chili at the end. Each of the other sauces I tried were rated ‘mild’ and had more of a sweet note at the end. There is a good variety of flavor options and spice levels for everyone in a household. Though I followed the recipes on the back of the package the first time I made them, I was getting ideas as I ate my dinners for other delicious dishes to incorporate the sauces in.
I HIGHLY recommend these sauces to anyone looking for a healthy alternative to quick meals. So many of us are super busy and rushed and find it hard to find time to prepare a restaurant-tasting meal. I could eat them daily over all different types of things, and they’re even great with just vegetables for vegetarians. These were very easy to prepare and tasted amazing, not to mention making my apartment smell delicious as well. I am looking forward to trying additional flavors!
Where to buy Passage Foods Products
I have a water filter on my faucet at home and hate buying bottles of water when I’m out or going to the gym, but don’t really believe that using a water fountain (“bubbler”) is that sanitary. I always thought it would be a great idea to add a filter to a refillable water bottle so you can enjoy fresh, clean water wherever you are, but hadn’t really looked much into it. So clearly – when I saw the Hydros Bottle booth at the Expo, I got super excited! They explained to me how the product works as well as some unique features that enhance the concept (BPA free, filters fast, dishwasher safe, etc). I took one home to try, but unfortunately was a bit let down with the functionality. There are two areas to twist on the bottle, the very top twists for opening and closing the mouth piece, and another area below it twists for opening and closing the area to input the ‘dirty’ water. Once the bottle or your hands get wet, it’s VERY difficult to twist both sections. It also does not fit well under a water fountain without having to stop and let it filter down multiple times before the bottle is full. Once it’s full and the twisted sections are lined up accordingly, it’s great, however it doesn’t hold as much water as traditional bottles because the filter takes up some room too. Try one out and let us know what you think!
